drs. A. Kronenburg completed her medical degree in Maastricht. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht (UMCU). At the moment she works at LUMC in Leiden, Haaglanden Medical Center (HMC) in The Hague and at Spaarne Ziekenhuis as a neurosurgeon, with a special interest in vascular and skull base neurosurgery.

She's in the final stages of her PhD research that focuses on moyamoya, a rare blood vessel disorder in which the carotid artery in the skull becomes blocked or narrowed, reducing blood flow to the brain. This usually occurs in children and young adults. For her PhD she collaborates with Lenox Hill Hospital NYC and New York University and University Children’s Hospital Zurich in Switzerland. She is also co-author of the Dutch children's book: 'Puck en moyamoya'.

For the Dutch Neurosurgeon Association (NVvN) she's working as a secretary for the quality commission.
